Middle School & High School Teams
Atlanta Equestrian is thrilled to bring back our IEA Middle & High School Teams for the 2026–2027 season! Open to riders in grades 4–12—whether experienced or brand new—IEA offers an exciting, affordable way to compete without owning a horse. Riders are judged on horsemanship and equitation using provided horses, creating a level playing field for all. With years experience in the past we’re proud to offer this proven pathway for growth, competition, and scholarship opportunities in equestrian sports.
Why should you join IEA?
The unique aspect of the competitions, both at the local and national level, is that horse ownership is not required. Instead, the host team provides horses and equipment to each rider at every event. Since the horse is new to the rider, the scores are based on horsemanship and equitation. The format levels the playing field while maintaining affordability for participants.
